Funding is available for voluntary and not for profit community and youth groups operating in Cumbria.
The community and youth grants can be used to fund a variety of activities and projects from village hall refurbishments and new community notice boards to new sports equipment for a youth football club and activity sessions for a local youth club.
Grants are available for new projects and initiatives as they are unable to fund ongoing or recurring costs incurred by groups.
Further information of the criteria and guidance notes can be found at www.cumbria.gov.uk/neighbourhoodforums
In order for groups to be considered for funding in this financial year they need to have received applications for funding no later than the 29th February 2012. It would be helpful if you could share this date and information with any group that may be interseted in applying for funding.
