Cubs Entertainer Badge Day

Saturday 5th November 2011, 9:30am-4:30pm
Ullswater Community College.

All the workshop providers are now booked and confirmed.

We will be offering the following activities on the day:
Campfire Songs & Rotten Tricks (a workshop of traditional Scout Campfire songs, actions and all, and some of the those campfire skits and tricks we all wish we could remember, by Adrian Backhouse, Alston Scout Group).
Movie Magic (will be provided by Darren Bean, Appleby Scout Group, who is all about the film, camera, action- this workshop will be full of surprises, blood and gore and more)!
Court Jesters (Cubs will be given a demonstration and taught in a number of different circus skills by Jesters of Ambleside http://www.ukjuggling.com/index.html).
Magicians Apprentice (led by well known, local, all round entertainer, StuDiDoo, Cubs will be given their own magic props kit and tricks book to use and keep, while being taught some slight of hand http://www.stu-di-doo.com/).
Dance Crew (Louise Watson, Principle at Dance Connect has a wealth of teaching experience in a range of dance styles but will be teaching the Cubs some street dance moves to give us some 'cool crews' http://www.danceconnect.org.uk/index.html)
Rhythm Stix (Neil Armstrong leads local drumming band S.T.I.X and will definitely be heard, even if they can't be seen, when he leads the Cubs in this exciting drumming workshop).

A leader from all Cub Packs in the 2 Districts has been sent a pack of letters, ready to hand out the information to Cubs now that they're back after the summer break. This is going to be a brilliant day and we look forward to seeing you there.

This is a chance for leaders to sit back- or join in- have a laugh and learn.
This is also a great opporunity to encourage parents to help out and to show them how much fun it is to volunteer. Letters to cubs will invite all parents to volunteer if they would like.
